While Jill Stuart has been a part of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week for some time, for many seasons she's eschewed the Bryant Park tents in favor of more decadent environs: the New York Public Library. This season, however, as evidenced by the invitation that just hit our inbox, it seems the designer will indeed be following the horde uptown to Lincoln Center, leaving the library behind.
True, the grand entry to the library was not without its setbacks -- the setup often created something of a tangled horde of editors, buyers, and Housewives from all various states -- but the dramatic marble decor and massive ceilings has long been fashion week pageantry at its finest. We have no doubt that the Koch Theater Promenade at Lincoln Center will prove quite dazzling, but we'll certainly miss the library.
