Jenna Lyons, Sally Singer, Kelly Bensimon, More Fete Fenton/Fallon for J. Crew

We had the pleasure of partying with the brains behind the thrilling Fenton/Fallon for J. Crew collection, and got some added insight into how the whole collection came together.

With a DJ Harley Viera-Newton spinning tunes and waiters circulating with pink lemonade, mini lobster rolls and s'mores, J. Crew's party to celebrate their latest jewelry collection in collaboration with Fenton/Fallon was very spring-focused.  Creative director Jenna Lyons was, per usual, impeccably decked in Nantucket red clamdiggers, pink oxford, curly-fur vest and day-glo pink pumps to go along with her piles of Fenton/Fallon for J. Crew cuffs and necklaces.

Lyons and Lorenz were in high spirits, laughing about their experience working together. As Lyons pointed out, the hardest part was applying the Fenton/Fallon aesthetic to a mass-produced item -- where Fenton/Fallon was used to producing things on a piece-by-piece basis (even using Q-tips to get a finish right), J. Crew produces in the thousands. Lyons seemed especially proud of a jewel-embellished cuff she was wearing, saying that it took "three samples" to get right.

The pair mugged for the cameras together, joined by Kelly Bensimon, who started to pick out her favorite, but ultimately let Jenna choose the necklace for her -- happily throwing on the recommended Carrington Tassel Necklace.

The Fenton/Fallen collection for J.Crew ranges from $95 for a bracelet to $295 for a fringe necklace, and is available now on jcrew.com.
