As promised, J. Crew has officially hopped aboard Net-a-Porter's internationally shipped e-commerce outfit.
In order to bring its distribution from North America and Japan only to a broad spectrum of 170 countries, J. Crew joined forces with international shopping phenomenon Net-a-Porter and just introduced its first batch of merch. The initial selection is fairly limited to lots of jersey tees and tanks, button-down shirts and a bathing suit, but we'd anticipate more to come as the idea catches on.
As total J. Crew catalogue groupies, it's a little strange to see the offerings so starkly photographed a la luxurious Net-a-Porter, but it also reflects how the brand is slowly becoming part of the larger high-fashion community -- from Michelle Obama mixing it with more luxurious pieces to Diane Kruger wearing head-to-toe J.Crew in Cannes of all places.
