Heidi Klum has launched two footwear collections exclusively for Amazon: HK by Heidi Klum flip-flops, pumps and booties; as well as HK for New Balance sneakers.
Klum, who recently ranked #83 in Forbes' Most Powerful Celebrities for 2011, told WWD:
“I design with every woman in mind, but they have to be shoes I would want in my closet,” said Klum. “I take into account the same basic things when designing a pair of sneakers or a pair of sky-high heels: They should be comfortable, well-made and complement your outfit rather than compete with it.”
The seven-style line includes a platform peep-toe pump and black patent platform pump, two pairs of wedge sandals, an ankle-strap flat sandal, basic suede pump and cork-sole platform sandal. According to the report, additional styles will be added in the coming weeks, and the line retails between $89-$159.
The HK for NB sneakers comprise six styles -- although only one came up in our search as of Monday morning -- priced under $100 a pair.
Klum's apparel offerings have experienced strong sales, WWD reports, and the latest footwear lines will eventually be joined by additional categories such as eyewear.
