Esteban Cortazar x Exito

We all remember Esteban Cortazar's abrupt dismissal from Ungaro for refusing to work with the brand's "consultant," Lindsay Lohan. Though there was never any doubt as to whether the mega-talented designer would continue in fashion, news on the Cortazar front has been pretty quiet until now. Images recently surfaced from his knockout collaboration with Exito—a brand he described to Fashion Toast as "the Latin American equivalent of Target"—and though we can't shop the collection here in the US, we're thrilled to see that Mr. Cortazar hasn't lost his touch.

Consisting of just five looks, the Exito lineup is playful and wearable with plenty of Cortazar's signature edge. A one-shoulder cockail dress, for example, features wrap-around silver zippers that can be adjusted to reveal varying amounts of leg, and a strappy black bandeau top leaves little to the imagination.  But Cortazar still manages to keep the look sophisticated, pairing the sexier pieces with conservative cropped tweed jackets, black hooded sweaters and slouchy cuff-sleeve cardigans.  Now the most urgent question on our minds' is: when will this fantastic "Exito" open an NYC location?
