Ecco Domani 2012 Awards Highlight Rising Talents to Watch at NYFW

Each year, the Ecco Domani Fashion Foundation awards $25,000 grants to seven young designers, who will put the money towards presentations and shows at New York Fashion Week.

DEZSO BY SARA BELTRAN is helmed by a former New York stylist who moved from New York to Jaipur, India, after living in the city for 12 years. Her jewelry collection derives its inspiration from the beach, featuring shells cast in gold, fossilized shark teeth, and more.

CORRELL CORRELL was founded in 2006 by twin sisters Daphne and Vera Correll. The label focuses on hand-made knitwear, with the sisters overseeing everything from dyeing to weaving.

EIGHTEENTH was founded by Parsons grad Alexa Galler in Spring 2010. The line is already boasts multiple stockists and a versatile roster of T-shirts and separates rendered in slouchy jersey -- off-the-shoulder silhouettes to asymmetrical styles.

Titania Inglis
TITANIA INGLIS is this year's winner in the sustainable category. The designer drapes each piece in her Brooklyn studio and employs materials like organic cottons and vegetable-tanned leathers, in addition to centering each season's collection around a new technique like rust dyeing and zero-waste pattern-making.

SUNHEE has only one season under her belt -- a Fall 2011 collection focused on cocktail frocks -- making her one of the lesser-known talents among Ecco Domani's roster.
