Michael Bastian: "My 4th of July tradition is to always try to get home to upstate New York to see my family and hang out on Lake Ontario. This is one holiday that is always much more fun spent outside the city -- New York isn't really a 4th of July town."

Wes Gordon: “I’m heading home for July 4th to Georgia. My family has a little place a couple hours outside of Atlanta that we’ll all go for the weekend to swim, boat, water-ski, grill, and watch fireworks. Can’t wait!”

Carly Cushnie, Cushnie et Ochs: "I'm off to the Hamptons with a bunch of friends for the weekend. Rented a house in Southampton where our July 4th festivities will take place. Planning on spending much of the time soaking up the sun by the pool and enjoying my friend Eddie's famously good Guinness BBQ ribs. On Sunday July 3rd we will be throwing a pool party at the house themed Jungle Fever. Enormous inflatable animals and all things leopard will populate the party. There will be a mix of great DJs, lots food and hopefully lots of sunshine! On Monday we will probably grab some lobster by the beach for lunch and then will be watching the fireworks from the car window as we make our way back to the city."

Michelle Ochs, Cushnie et Ochs: "I'm heading home to get some much needed rest and relaxation with my family in Maryland. My parents have a restaurant called The Nibbler, a Peruvian restaurant, so this we will be my first stop once I arrive to get some great food I've been missing. On Sunday July 3rd I will be driving to Harpers Ferry Virginia, to go Water Tubing down the Potomac River with friends. Nothing like splashing around and having a good scream out in the open. On July 4th itself my family always takes the two hour drive out to Chesapeake Bay to the Harris Crab Shack. It's the most delicious crab! That will be followed by ice cream on the bay. It's a full food extravaganza weekend!"

Nicole Miller: "July 4th is usually my first wake-boarding of the season. On Saturday, I will be going to my friend Joanie McDonell’s in Amagansett for fireworks on the beach. On Sunday we always have a huge linguine and clam fest. We go clamming in the morning, then bring them all to my friend Mary Jane Marcasiano’s, where my other friend April Gornik cooks them all up together."

Christian Cota: "I always have a rooftop party at my apartment. This year, it will be themed, America in the 60's. Hot weather calls for short hemlines!"

Billy Reid: "We will be on the Tennessee river here tubin', swimming, and BBQ-ing with friends and family, then enjoying the big TNT fireworks on the water that evening."

Dana Lorenz, Fenton Fallon: "Typically, I get out of town either to Florida or upstate New York and hang with friends. We really don't do typical 4th of July things. We usually hole up in a movie theater all weekend! This year I'm in Manhattan so I will be sound-proofing the apartment so my dachshund Blitz doesn't bark himself into cardiac arrest from the fireworks. He hates them ... "

Timo Weiland (left), Timo Weiland: "I will be heading to Snake Hill, a beautiful and historic seaside estate on an island called Nahant off the coast of Boston. The harbor and sailing culture of that part of New England has always been a source of inspiration for me, indirectly of course."
