Designer Playlist: Fortune Favors the Brave Jam to Drake and Elvis

Judging by their summer playlist, Julia Wilson and Shannon Davenport have a seriously rockin' time while working on their New York-based jewelry label, Fortune Favors the Brave, and somehow that makes us appreciate their cool, southwest-inspired baubles even more.

With golden oldies from Elvis and more experimental jams by the likes of Adam Bainbridge, these killer tunes are just what we needed to brighten up the rainy week.

Paul Simon, "Obvious Child"

"Can't get enough of the fast drum beats in this one. We did a day trip up to Storm King over Memorial Day and it sets the best summer mood, plus it's amazing to drive to with the windows down."

Kindness, "House"

"We're really excited about Kindness! And the video with him and the little boy jamming together is just way too cute. It kills."

Elvis, "Suspicious Minds"

"We're die hard Elvis fans so pretty much all he has to do to get us to swoon is that 'mmm yeah' thing he does. And he does that plenty of times in this one. But it's also just a lovely song."

Azealia Banks, "Jumanji"

"Who doesn't love Azealia and her Mickey sweater? This new track off her LP '1991' has steel drums. Sold!"

Drake ft. Lil Wayne, "The Motto"

"Drake is wearing a leopard puff coat and driving around the Bay Area in this video so that's already a home run for us. YOLO is definitely what it's all about!"

Bob Dylan, The Times They Are a-Changin

"Our parents went to UC Berkeley in the '60s so we kind of can't get enough Bob Dylan, like ever. But this one in particular is just timeless — always a nice reminder that nothing stays the same!"

Django Django, "Default"

"This track is dancey, catchy and plain ol fun. Apple needs to get this in a commercial stat."

Fiona Apple, "Paper Bag"

"Fiona is like a fine wine, she only gets better with age. We love when she yells at awards shows, noodle dances on stage and uses really long poems as names for her albums. Fiona comeback, Summer 2012!"
