Cynthia Rowley opened up its sale today, offering up to 80 percent off samples and past-season, plus 30 percent off the entire store through the weekend.
We were thrilled to catch Lucky's advance-access tip and hit the Cynthia Rowley sample sale on its first day. We were so early, in fact, the (totally cute and chic) shopgirls were still setting up the merch in the back room. Once it had been sufficiently stuffed with dresses, shorts, skirts, jackets, shoes, bags and belts, we overheard them chatting about more to unpack in the back (pictures below).
For now, there's a fresh selection of one-off sample items going mostly for prices less than $100 - we snagged a hot pair of green sequin shorts for $89, and there were knit tops and blouses as low as $49, dresses between $69-$89, as well as jackets and blouses around the same range.
Shoes, bags and accessories were also handsomely reduced by about 30-40 percent or more - but the tagging system was still being organized, so it was a little hard to tell. Also, pick samples with care, as there were minor damages to be seen, but nothing the cheery staff wasn't willing to address and negotiate over.
We were among the first to arrive just 30 minutes after the store opened, but by the time we left the joint was starting to fill up, so depending on the back-up supplies that had yet to be stocked, you may want to get there sooner rather than later.
