Moody smoky eyes were a perfect compliment to Cushnie et Ochs' rigid cocktail dresses and slinky separates, but it's also an easy go-to for fashion week parties or nights on the town. Step 1: Rim the upper lids in a brown-black hue like MAC's "Teddy" liner.

Step 2: Rim the lower lids, taking care to stay right at the root of the lashes. Be sure to line all the way to the inner corners of the eye.

Step 3: Use a smudging brush (which comes to a point at the tip) to gently smear the liner up to the center of the lid.

Step 4: Repeat the process beneath the eyelids, sweeping from left to right to move the color in a soft wing outside the eye.

Step 5: Fill in lids with a shimmery black shadow working from the outer edges of the eye almost all the way to the brow bone.

Step 6: Finish the look by dabbing a bronzer one to two shades darker than your natural skin tone to the apples of the cheeks and high parts of the face, including forehead and chin.

Step 7: A touch of highlighter on the cheekbones, nose, and upper lip gives a healthy glow.
