Acne's Latest Film, “Concrete Island,” Will Set You Reeling

For anyone who grew up obsessively watching music videos specifically for the awesomely-stylish clothes the artists wore (En Vogue, Janet Jackson, Madonna, anyone?), the recent popularization of fashion films have definitely done wonders at satisfying those lingering yearnings. The latest offering comes from Acne, which has produced many a fashion film in the past, but none quite so eerie. It's nuts how a spinning room, and slow, reverberating sounds can convey such a spooky effect.

Directed and styled by Michelle Jank, whose resume includes creative direction for Dior, international editions of Harper's Bazaar and Vogue, as well as costume design for Mikhail Baryshnikov’s Art Centre ballets, this short film showcases—in a rather dizzying, but utterly beautiful fashion—the label's spring 2011 cruise collection.
