The 5 Most Expensive TriBeCa Rental Listings

It's August, and the allure of the Hamptons and other exotic and far-flung locales have lured Manhattan's movers and shakers away and left us with a case of high-end envy. Sofor those still stuck in the city, we here now present the five priciest Tribeca rental residential listings.

5) What: 39 Vestry Street
Asking: $20,000/month
The Skinny: 4,400 square feet of old-style loft space with two entrances, six bedrooms, and 5 bathrooms. Pretty good—do check the floorplan. But we'd also like to test-drive the 738-square-foot private outdoor space that's part of this duplex.

4) What: 270 Broadway
Asking: $23,500/month
The Skinny: Now we're moving up in the world at this 4,199 square foot corner apartment that features four bedrooms, 5.5 bathrooms, a (really rather odd looking) wood-burning fireplace, and views of the East River and The Woolworth Building. Bonus: a brand-laden broker description of the place to rival the boom years.
· Listing: 270 Broadway [Stribling]

3) What: 405 Broadway
Asking: $25,000/month
The Skinny: A 3,300 square foot penthouse triplex loft with exposed brick, distressed (natch) hardwood floors, and skylights. Lots of skylights. Like, a ceiling of skylights. Oh, and four bedrooms, four baths, and a 400 square foot terrace.

2) What: 166 Duane Street
Asking: $30,000/month
The Skinny: At last, the $30k/month barrier is breached at this high-floor offering in the Duane Park condo. We're talking 4,208 square feet, 26 "oversized" windows, and 11' ceilings. Includes 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, and kind of a chill Buddhist vibe. Namaste.
· Listing: Duane Park [Sotheby's]

1) What: 7 Hubert Street
Asking: $35,000
The Skinny: At the top of the list: this double corner loft with 4,016 square feet, 12' ceilings, and fourteen 10' windows that look onto two planted terraces. Comes with 4 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, a wood burning fireplace, and use of the word "enormous" twice in the broker write-up. Final bonus: zebra-skin rug!
