The Early Word On Mr. H

Armin Amiri's Mr. H soft-opened to a very few (around 30) "friends and family" last Friday before hosting Fashion Week parties for Prabal Gurun and Derek Lam over the weekend. Guest of a Guest described the Mondrian Soho joint as "part luxury dim sum joint gone nocturnal and part rub-n-tug parlor turned into a dance hall," summing it up as a "classier Happy Ending." PX This scored some photos they weren't supposed to take and details on Mr. H's "temporary" openings: Amiri (Bungalow 8, Socialista) and his trusted doorman Disco (also of Bungalow) will close up shop after Fashion Week to fully prepare for a public opening in March.

Like strip club-lite Westway, the bordello-red Mr. H downplays its debt to vice. A neon sign makes clear that "this is not a brothel there are no prostitutes at this address." Unlike Westway, Mr. H will have nearby competition for top nightlife newbie from Le Baron when it opens just across Canal Street in Chinatown next month.
