Test – Man Shot by Police in Marcus Garvey Park: NYPD

The man was taken to Harlem Hospital with a gunshot wound to his chest

Test - A police officer shot a 28-year-old man in the chest Thursday after an altercation in a Harlem park, authorities said.

An officer fired one shot in Marcus Garvey Park around 1:30 p.m., police said. The victim was holding a bag which he dropped when he saw the officer, police said. Then there was an altercation between the officer and the man. 

The man was taken to Harlem Hospital with a gunshot wound to his chest. His condition was unknown.

No weapon was found at the scene of the shooting, according to police sources.
