Tennis, Anyone? Fred Perry Challenges Björn Borg to a Game in Soho

Tennis: Officially a Soho trend. First the U.S. Open pop-up shop took over 129 Prince Street in August. Then the clothing line Björn Borg, named after the Swedish tennis superstar, announced that it was moving into Gawker's old office at 89 Crosby. And now, completing the trifecta, comes word that Fred Perry, named after the British tennis superstar, will open its first U.S. location on 33 Wooster Street between Prince and Houston Streets. This looks like war to us: Borg might have popularized the headband, but according to Crain's, Perry invented it.
