Ooooh, It's Almost Restaurant Month in Staten Island!

Pre-fixe dinners for $20.09 or less in January

January is shaping up as a pretty good month for food.

There will be restaurant weeks, stimulus food packages, a vintage dinner progressive and now there's word of the Staten Island Restaurant Month .

The Staten Island special will offer three course pre-fixe dinners for $20.09 or less on Sundays through Thursdays throughout the month of January.

Participating restaurants include Lorenzo’s, Nove, Ocean's 3, French Tart, Coral Bay, Beso, Bayou, Marina Cafe, Portabella Cafe, John's Restaurant, Chirag, Killmeyers, Ruddy and Dean's, Lacey's, Bob'z Ribz, South Finn Grill, La Bella.

That's slightly cheaper than the more famous Winter Restaurant Week offering January at more than 250 spots, located mainly in Manhattan . The deal runs from January 18 through 30, excluding Saturdays, (and Sundays for some restaurants), and the three-course prix-fixe will cost $24.07 for lunches and $35 for dinner.

The Times Square Taste Bud Stimulus Package will offer a range of food and drink discounts throughout January.

And on the posh end, the Zagat-sponsored Vintage Dinner Series will be priced at $150 to $575 per person from January 12 to March 25 at restaurants such as Daniel, Bouley and Per Se.
