For today's offbeat Valentine's Day accessories guide, we questioned jewelry designer Pamela Love about the meaning of her anatomically correct, cult-loved heart pendant necklace. According to love, allusions to hearts of any kind -- human or no -- is the sweetest sentiment going:
“There are a lot of heart necklaces out there, and I think during Valentine’s Day, people always want some sort of a heart...pendant. I just thought it would be really nice to play with an idea, and make something that’s a little more realistic. Maybe it’s a little gross or a little dark, but I think it’s just more literal. There’s something fun about the actual shape of a real heart, compared to the “heart” that we always see. I think it’s really sweet and romantic to get somebody a heart like that for Valentine’s Day.”
