Foo Fighters, Wilco & More; 10th Annual Sasquatch Lineup Announced

The great thing about festival season is that there is something for every type of person. Hollywood has Coachella. The hippies and white hats have Bonnaroo. City slickers have Chicago’s Lollapalooza. Even the rednecks can mingle with frat boys at Hangout. Those of you more in tune with Mother Nature who like some good sweater-weather can now rejoice – the Sasquatch Festival has revealed its lineup and it reads like an indie rock all-star team.

The four-day Sasquatch Festival is now in its 10th year at the picturesque Gorge Amphitheater in Gorge, Washington. The majestic outdoor space has won the Pollstar award for Best Outdoor Music Venue nine times and presents a spectacular backdrop of the Columbia River for the artists. Sasquatch will take place over Memorial Day weekend with music starting the evening of Friday, May 27 and continuing all the way through the close of the festival on Monday night, May 30.

Sasquatch will kick off Friday with its decidedly heaviest selections taking the stage that evening. Foo Fighters will anchor a night that will feature the reunited Death From Above 1979, Against Me and others. Saturday’s highlights include heavyweights Death Cab For Cutie, Bright Eyes and Iron and Wine along with Wolf Parade andLocal Natives. Modest Mouse and The Flaming Lips, who will perform their smash album The Soft Bulletin in its entirety, are the marquee acts Sunday that rounds out nicely Brooklyn’s Yeasayer and the reunited Archers of Loaf. Attendees, who make it all the way to Monday, will get a number of great options including Wilco, The Decembrists, Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings and Guided By Voices.

The Sasquatch lineup is extremely stellar so if you’re looking to escape New York this Memorial Day weekend, we suggest that you strongly consider the Northwest.
