Ready for a humongous wind farm way offshore from Rockaway Beach? Could happen. Last year, Long Island Power dropped a plan for an $800 million offshore wind farm near Jones Beach. Yesterday it said it's looking to build an even bigger one 10 miles off the shores of the Rockaways. They're going to work with Con Ed to see if it's feasible.
