Not long into the new year, we told you that relative eat fleet newcomer the Street Sweets Truck, purveyor of all-natural-ingredient-packed deliciousness (dulce de leche-stuffed brioche and leek-and-swiss quiche? yes please) was being forced into a name change.
It's most likely because Reading, PA-based mail-order treat company Sweet Street has dibs, but whatever the case, the SST has enlisted New York’s help with brainstorming a new moniker.
What’s in it for you? A $500 American Express Gift Card plus $100 to spend on goodies from the Truck Formerly Known As Street Sweets.
The deadline for submitting your new-name candidates is 11:59 p.m. tonight -- so far, the truck’s received more than 2500 suggestions, and while they started out wanting to keep “sweets” in the name, their website notes that “perhaps we should think with broader strokes... so, if you have other ideas that are less sweet-centric, we would love to hear them!”
