Post Super Bowl Disco

FRIDAY: Midtown Techno
After severing ties with beleaguered club District 36, you'd think underground techno purveyors Blkmarket Membership would have returned to their nomadic roots, but the once roving party seems to have settled down at Good Units. Though we can't say the former high school gymnasium in the basement of midtown's Hudson Hotel tops our venue list, we're happy to report that the Blkmarket boys are still bringing the jams. Tonight, Detroit techno legend Dan Bell headlines with a set that's sure to feature his signature squirrelly sounds. Tickets available at the door, $20. 10 p.m -- 4 a.m.

SATURDAY: A Ski Slope in Brooklyn
Why head to the Catskills when an actual ski slope is just a bridge away? Red Bull has partnered with The Parks Department to bring us Winter Jam, a day of skiing and snowboarding for all in Brooklyn's Prospect Park. Learn how to cross-country ski and snowplow, or, if you're feeling particularly brave (the hill ain't that steep), register for the Red Bull Butter Cup and grind the rails and other obstacles lining the course. Free. 11 a.m. -- 4 p.m. Prospect Park Nethermead, 16th St. and Prospect Park SW.

SUNDAY: Disco Dancing
Following an evening of gluttony in front of the Super Bowl, burn off those copious calories on the dance floor at Nouveau York. Hosts Jerome Viger-Kohler and Neil Aline are enjoying a stellar run, booking top deejay talent and throwing parties in what is arguably the most gorgeous spot in town, Le Bain. Tonight, however, they may well have outdone themselves, wrangling the talents of disco leaning acts Justin Miller (of DFA fame) and Austria's Wolfram, the latest producer to join dance music label Permanent Vacation's star-studded roster. Free. 9 p.m. -- 2 a.m.

Going out can be a gamble, so why leave it up to chance? Stack the deck each Friday by peeping Play's Weekend Bender.
