A little surprise contestant on today's episode of "Who Wants to Be a Millioniare?": Pies 'n' Thighs' co-owner Carolyn Bane. At the beginning of her appearance, Bane talks to Meredith about her background (majored in bio at Harvard), the restaurant, and how she's trying to get out of debt (cue cutaway to the lovely Sarah Buck). Though we were hoping ladies of Pies 'n' Thighs would rack up a cool mil for the (still unopened) restaurant, Bane choked on some lower rung pop culture questions.
She used one lifeline for a CSI-related bit and her last two on the above Grand Theft Auto question—which she ultimately guessed wrong as Astro City and then San Diablo. Astro City, Carolyn? In the end, Bane walked away with a solid $1,000.
