It was quite a wild weekend in the Meatpacking District as some of the city's, and the country's, best chefs, food writers, farmers, and food personalities descended on West 14th Street for the first annual New York Wine and Food Festival. Events: At Friday night's epic Burger Bash Katie Lee Joel came away with a surprise win with her patty melt, Tom Colicchio rocked the stage at the Daily Candy Midnight and Munchies, the Grand Tastings were like a big, delicious, drunken supermarket, and over 50 pastry chefs came out to represent at Saturday Night's Sweet. As for yesterday's events that we haven't covered yet: The Adria demo was a magic moment for the festival. Lee Schrager was visibly moved. People were really feeling it, but it was in the end, Ferran just being Ferran. Mohegan Sunset somehow actually made the Gansevoort feel more seedy than it is.
