What to Do With Boring Vegetables

Anything delicious in your CSA box these days? Or are you, too, stymied by an abundance of root vegetables? On Slate, Catherine Price concedes her aversion to parsley and boredom with kiwi, and calls an expert: Mark Bittman. He knows what to do with daikon radish — “Raw, grated, with soy sauce and sesame oil” — but got stumped on kiwi. “I don't even think they’re that good,” Bittman confessed. The first step to solving a problem is admitting you have one.
