After making us wait many moons, this nation's first-ever Topshop opens in Soho in mere minutes. We're live at the scene and pleased and shocked to report the line is the most well-behaved we've ever seen. When we arrived at 8:30 about 50 people were camping out for the 11 a.m. opening. Security is tight, and the Topshop team is handing out gift certificates, water, and biscuits. No one weathered the soggy night either — the first person only arrived at 6 a.m. So it's amazingly not crazy! We figured shopping there wouldn't be safe or comfortable until August, but you might actually be able to shop there today! See more updates on our Twitter feed.
9:48 a.m.: Dammit, we blogged too soon — the line is growing fast and now huge. We'd recommend only brave, patient types go shop there today.
