We’re nothing short of psyched to hear that on weekdays, Russ & Daughters (still down a bench) is opening an hour earlier (8 a.m.) and closing an hour later (8 p.m.). Weekend hours stay the same (9 a.m. till 7 p.m. on Saturday and 8 a.m. till 5:30 p.m. on Sunday), but this should make it a hell of a lot easier to grab our current favorite (a pumpernickel bagel with caviar cream cheese and salmon roe) before or after work. We can only continue to hope the shop goes back to its old practice, in the days of Yiddish theaters, of staying open till midnight on Saturdays.
