Model Walks Jil Sander in Tears

We've seen countless trips, falls, and nip slips on the runway, but crying is a new one. Lithuanian model Auguste Abeliunaite had tears streaming down her face at the Jil Sander show. She walked twice, and showgoers noticed she was crying both times. This was not a bizarre new makeup trend as our friends over at The Wall Street Journal's Heard on the Runway blog originally suspected — none of the other models had water dripping down their faces, thank God.

A Jil Sander spokesman denied Auguste was crying. When he saw the picture, he responded, "I did not see it, can’t see it in the video and no one has asked about it to anyone in the press offices." Maybe her boyfriend broke up with her, or her shoes hurt, or the collection simply moved her to tears. In any case, it beats falling.
