Marios Schwab Heading to Halston?

Marios Schwab.

Halston has been designerless since Marco Zanini left last year. Now sources say the house is talking to London-based designer Marios Schwab about filling the open position. Halston president Bonnie Takhar said the label has been talking to a lot of designers, but wouldn't name names. “We have been looking at all options in the market, but we have made no decisions,” she told WWD. They hardly need to rush, since they've been getting along just fine without a designer. The in-house design team created the fall 2009 collection, which Halston showed in a snazzy Internet music video. Despite what critics say about the clothes from the past two effectively designerless collections, Halston has been selling well, especially overseas. So they may as well save some cash and wait for the perfect person to come along.
