Mario Testino, French Vogue Succumb to Budget Cuts

Today WWD reports that Condé Nast has asked publishers to come up with proposals for how to cut 10 percent from overall budgets. It's not clear yet exactly what kind of cuts Condé Nast will make, but Vanity Fair is reportedly considering taking away Mario Testino's private jet. Condé Nast's French contingent won't escape unscathed. French Vogue is cutting back by getting rid of its coffee machine. Nonetheless, editor-in-chief Carine Roitfeld and the magazine's fashion director are attending the shows in Milan and Paris in separate chauffeured cars. [WWD, Guardian UK]
