Bob Guskind, the blogger behind Gowanus Lounge, was found dead on Wednesday. The cause has yet to be determined. Besides being an obsessive, passionate chronicler of Brooklyn news and street scenes (his recent posts included a visit to the Mast Brothers Chocolate Factory and a nod to the mural at Fette Sau), Guskind was a champion of Coney Island and a fierce watchdog against irresponsible development. Gowanus Lounge was down briefly, but one of the many neighborhood bloggers who are mourning his loss, his friend Miss Heather of New York Shitty, revived it this morning; she’s accepting reader eulogies and will soon post details about a memorial service.
