Midtown Lunch is calling B.S. on CBS News for seemingly stealing a story. Last Thursday, ML reported that some daytime halal vendors on 53rd Street and Sixth Avenue were posing as the famous nighttime vendors by wearing similar yellow sweaters. Per CBS’s report, the nighttime guys aren’t really sweating it (“it’s a competition”), and the daytime guys claim they’re just honoring taxi drivers with the colors. With offices in midtown, it’s perfectly possible CBS News noticed this themselves. But Midtown Lunch? Not happy.
