British Vogue Editor Alexandra Shulman Bought a Victoria Beckham Dress

Hadley Freeman argues the days of denigrating celebrity-designed clothes are over. She cites the success of the Olsens's The Row and Elizabeth and James lines, which aren't named after their founders, but prided on quality, priced like designer apparel, and sought out by serious fashionistas rather than In Touch readers. Of Victoria Beckham's dresses, which can cost $2,000, she writes, "These dresses really are proper, so much so that U.K. Vogue editor Alexandra Shulman has ordered one." Damn, Posh is on a roll this week. Hot Armani ads and fashion designer cred. Bravo, lady. [Style.com]
