Aziz Ansari Misses Shake Shack So

We really felt for comedian, champion eater, and recent L.A. transplant Aziz Ansari when he linked to Adam Platt’s Where to Eat and pined, “I don’t even live in NY anymore and I plan on reading all 15 pages of this delicious article!” So sad — and yes, we were almost moved to tears when another New York expat told us that, upon returning from Dublin, he immediately headed to Grand Sichuan to order his chicken freshly killed. Luckily Aziz is back in town for some gigs, and when Gothamist asked him what he misses most about New York, he responded, “Going to Momofuku Ssam, eating burgers at Shake Shack, and seeing my friends (in that order — sorry friends, I gotta be honest).” Ha. Here’s a man after our own hearts (or stomachs, anyway).

[Full disclosure: Aziz was dying to review something for Grub Street during his visit, but we never came up with an idea. Maybe next time we’ll send him to befriend Kenny Shopsin...]
