Great Jones Street Shopping Guide

Where to shop for imaginative gifts, a custom suit, and more.

While Soho may draw its share of visitors, just north of Houston, you'll find a fantastic stretch along Great Jones Street that includes a custom suit shop, a store packed with imaginative gifting options, and where to buy some of the best salumi in the country.

Partners and Spade
40 Great Jones Street (at Lafayette Street)
This is by far one of the city's most playful stores. It's part art gallery, part boutique, and all fun, offering everything from custom trophies to globes to vintage musical instrument. (Don't miss our favorite part of the store: drawers that contain oddities from fish to plastic balls.)

Michael Andrews Bespoke
2 Great Jones Alley (off Lafayette Street)
If you're in the market for a bespoke suit (and really, everyone should be!), make an appointment at this fantastic shop, which is tucked away just down Great Jones Alley. You can get fitted for a suit, shop for accessories, and even grab a drink at the store's fantastic bar.

Il Buco Alimentari & Vineria
53 Great Jones Street (at Bowery)
While New York offers a slew of Italian eateries and grocery stores, this offshoot of beloved restaurant Il Buco (on nearby Bond Street) is undeniably one of the most authentic. Here, you'll find pastas, oils, salts, and some of the best salumi in the country. Best of all, you can grab lunch or dinner here while you shop.

The Future Perfect
55 Great Jones Street (at Bowery)
This design-focused boutique stocks everything from $2,000 wooden tables to $10 heart-shaped utensils.

Great Jones Spa
29 Great Jones Street (between Broadway and Lafayette)
Simply put, this is one of the best spas in the country. Stop in for a manicure or massage, or spend a whole afternoon enjoying the spa's Water Lounge, which features a river rock sauna, thermal hot tub, and cold plunge.
