"Gossip Girl" star Ed Westwick ripped a suit on loan to him from designer Simon Spurr, the famed young Hollywood style guru told Niteside.
"I actually lent him a suit for his friend's wedding in London. On the night of the wedding they ended up getting in a fight, and he ripped the suit. He was hugely apologetic!" Spurr told Niteside.
"He was stepping in to break up a fight. Let me just clarify so I don't get into trouble!"
The designer was on hand to fete the publication of PowerHouse Books' tome "Leo Fuchs: Special Photographer from the Golden Age of Hollywood" at Bergdorf's men's store last Thursday.
"Over the past couple of years I've developed a strong synergy with young Hollywood," he said, "and [this] book is about the golden age of Hollywood."
The designer said he loves to dress Westwick, Bradley Cooper ad Ryan Gosling.
"I'd like to get some more stuff on him," he said of the hunky young actor.
Spurr confessed he may have been a bit star struck when he ran into one particular celebrity whom he had sign his duds.
"I met [The Who founder] Roger Dultry in London a few years ago, and I happened to be wearing a Who T-shirt so he signed it for me," he said. "That's eventually going to get framed."
