West Chelsea Building Cruising for a Partner

There hasn't been much progress at 552 West 24th Street since we revealed what was to come on the narrow lot over the summer. And with good reason! The project is now on the market, sorta. Located next to Annabelle Selldorf's 200 Eleventh Avenue in the once-mighty, suddenly-vulnerable West Chelsea Starchitecture Zone near the High Line, 552 West 24th Street is seeking a "joint venture" to make the 11 stories of apartments and gallery space happen. From the Massey Knakal listing:

With work permits previously issued, a potential purchaser could begin work shortly after possession. All due diligence material will be made available to the eventual buyer, including completed building plans and architectural drawings, all of which will save a considerable amount of time and soft costs. Property also benefits from having a legal curb cut.

How much money is needed out of a potential partner to finally get construction off the ground? That's not clear, but the cars-falling-on-our-heads insurance must be through the roof.
