By now, we're all familiar with the story of the East Village's Flowerbox Building. The heartwarming tale of a developer who returned to the hardscrabble block he grew up on to build...luxury condos. The improbability of a $10 million sale between Avenues C and D. The gorgeousness. But we cannot hide the story's ugly side. We cannot hide...the massacre. Apartment #3W in the eight-unit building is currently on the market for just under $2 million, about $1,300 per square foot. The listing reappeared online after a seven-month absence, and before that mysterious disappearance the price was $2.395 million. But that's not the only twist! According to StreetEasy, the same apartment was listed last year for $1.695 million, so this could be a Kravitz-esque PriceChopper/PriceUpper mutant. It's too much to handle, so instead we'll stop and smell the flowers. Ahhh...
