Midnight Tokers at Joe's Pub

Like a pothead trying to squeeze one more hit out of a roach before it burns his fingers, the creators of Reefer Madness: The Musical are wringing a night at Joe's Pub out of the 70-year-old scare-doc. A double-album containing the cast recording for both the movie and the stage versions of the musical will be released on October 28. To mark the occasion Sh-K-Boom/Ghostlight Records, who also happen to be curating the Monday late-night series this fall at Joe's Pub are having luminaries from the Reefer Madness cast perform live on Monday, October 27 at 11:30 p.m.

Scheduled to perform are Alan Cumming, SNL's Ana Gasteyer, Steven Weber, Amy Spanger, John Kassir and Christian Campbell from the film as well others. Unless they can find another way to scrape the bong, this might be the final iteration of Reefer Madness.
