Ladies & Gentlemen, Your Best New Building of the Year

So what does architect Robert A.M. Stern, desk-dancing designer of the Limestone Jesus, think is good architecture not sketched by his own hand? Well, Bobby A.M. was part of the panel of judges at the inaugural World Architecture Festival in Barcelona, and last week that group awarded the above university faculty building in Milan with the World Building of the Year award. Designed by Irish firm Grafton Architects, the Luigi Bocconi University building was praised as a "magical subterranean realm," but we've been through the photos and we have yet to spot a Fraggle.
