Kelsey Grammer has been hospitalized in New York, a rep for the actor confirmed to Access Hollywood.
However, contrary to previous reports, Grammer was admitted after “feeling faint” and he is “not being treated for an irregular heartbeat,” Grammer’s rep, Stan Rosenfield, told Access.
Access has learned Grammer was admitted to Southampton Hospital in New York and is currently listed in fair condidtion.
Grammer, who suffered a mild heart attack in June, was in New York for several TV appearances to promote his new film, “Swing Vote.”
He checked himself into a local hospital when he began feeling faint, which was a result of the medication he had been taking since his heart attack.
Rosenfield added that Grammer’s doctor “wants to observe him with the new medication overnight.”
