Jay-Z was all smiles last night as the new dad stepped back into the limelight Wednesday night at the reopening of his sports bar, the 40/40 club.
The invite-only event brought out models, musicians and athletes who celebrated the grand reopening with Jay, who arrived without Beyonce, despite rumors beforehand that she would make an appearance.
Closed down for renovations last summer, the club itself is now "upgraded" after its $10 million renovation, complete with pearl-colored modern plush seats on an elevated arena-like platform filled with private tables, giving the sports bar an upscale modern look.
Some notable attendees included Ashanti, Teyana Taylor, Damaris Lewis, Selita Ebanks, Russell Simmons, Wale and CC Sabathia.

DJ SnS played a range of tracks, both mainstream and old school, but the biggest reaction came when he played back-to-back Beyonce.
The club opens to the general public Thursday.
