With the rest of the world, Henri Bendel's window dressers woke up this morning to an Obama victory. And just like Bendel's execs promised, their patriotic window display has been altered to reflect the Democrats' triumph. The cocktail-dress-wearing mannequins have been moved over to the blue polling booth, someone cracked a bottle of champagne (and drank it, leaving an empty bottle and glass), and there's a strange, lipstick-edged cake on the floor. The "pounds of confetti" thing didn't come to pass, though. But the balloons are a nicely festive touch.
