John McCain would definitely be something pre-war and grand, with a long and storied legacy. Something set in its old-fashioned ways, but not afraid to show its lighter side. Something that turns its nose up at those snobby East Side insiders, while still being part of the establishment. McCain would be the Dakota, maybe? Barack Obama would be a newcomer to the scene, but one that made a splashy entrance and nabbed piles of cash right out of the gate. Not quite Downtown, not quite Uptown. A dash of glitz and glamour, but is it style over substance? For Obama, we're thinking One Madison Park.
