Abe & Arthur's isn't the only thing the Tenjune team has up its sleeve -- on March 29 it'll open the Chandelier Room in Hoboken's W Hotel, and soon after that, Hoboken will be magically transformed into a "sought-after Manhattan outpost."
Or so goes the press release. Anyway, the 4,000-square-foot space was designed by ICRAVE (that's their rendering) and promises river views and an open terrace. It gets its name from an "inhabitable chandelier" (per the release) that, while gigantic, won't really be inhabitable -- the chairs that hang from it are just decorative.
Sample drink: the "Not So Inocente," a blend of tequila and muddled lemon and sage.
Also opening in the W is Zylo, a Tuscan steakhouse where chef Nicholas Ciccone (Asia de Cuba, Soho Grand) will serve traditional Italian food alongside bone-in cuts of prime, organic, and grass-fed beef.
Is all of this enough to keep Jersey's finest from swarming the East Village, Lower East Side, and the meatpacking during the weekends? We shall see.
