Food Meets Fashion, Mexican Tasting

As the annual Fall Fashion Week kicks-off today, our inboxes are quickly filling up with big booze-sponsored designer after-parties and the like, but Bon Appétit is looking to stand out from the crowd with its city-wide "Feast or Fashion" event (no relation to The Feast). A selection of restaurants across the city like Aldea, Tertulia and Peels will serve special menus "tailor-made" to Fashion Week. Check out the menus and complete roster of restaurants here.

If you're more interested in actual food plates than fashion plates, mark your calendar for September 26 when Alex Stupak's Mexican restaurant Empellón holds a regionally-focused tasting event. For $75, diners get a six-course menu (plus wine pairings) inspired by Mexico's Yucatan region. Two seatings are available at 6:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. Reservations and more information available here.
