Flying Lotus Shakes the Walls at LPR

Laptop-toting avant-electronic musician Flying Lotus played a free show at Le Poisson Rouge last night in which he (again) paid tribute to hip-hop hellions Odd Future and caused trouble of his own in the form of a line snaking around the block of the venue. (Check out video of the queue complete with NSFW running commentary here.) News of the gig broke yesterday morning, hours after the Lotus' show at Bowery Ballroom.

Fans frantically RSVPd to get on the list, but the attempt at crowd control was a flagrant exercise in futility: the lines stretched down Bleecker and around Thompson Street two hours before the midnight showtime. Those who made it in witnessed FlyLo drop "Yonkers," the breakout single by Tyler, The Creator, shock rap collective Odd Future's lead provoctaeur. Flying Lotus plays Music Hall of Williamsburg tonight. Tickets are sold out, but try your luck online or at the door.
