Where to Get a Flu Shot in NYC

Flu season means flu shots for many folks.

According to the New York City Department of Health, flu or influenza is associated with more than 1,100 deaths annually in the city. That’s compared to 22,400 deaths nationwide.

Flu shots are especially encouraged for people age 50 and older, children under 5, and people with chronic health conditions, said the DOH.

Healthy people between the ages of 2 and 49 -- excluding pregnant women – can receive the live intranasal spray influenza vaccine.

And as News 4's Andrew Siff reports, it's never to early to get a flu shot.
