Daphne Guinness is, in our opinion, one of the coolest women on the planet. And come September we'll be able to own just a little piece of her when her first fragrance, Daphne, is finally available.
Frankly, at the just announced price $140, it's probably the only bit of her we'll ever be able to afford. But we'll take it.
These days it feels like everyone and their sister has a fragrance and most of them don't make one bit of sense to us. We're talking to you, Paris Hilton and Kim Kardashian.
So it's refreshing to see a woman who is a true arbiter of style, with a very signature presence, creating her own scent.
Guinness tells WWD, "“For me, [scent] is time travel. It takes you away from the everyday and you are transported to something in your past. It’s a very mysterious thing. It’s magic.”
We wholeheartedly agree and can't wait to transport ourselves into the land of Guinness, even if just for a moment.
