Earlier this week we told you about a rumored rift between designer Esteban Cortezar and the House of Ungaro over the hiring of Lindsay Lohan to take on consulting role at the brand.
Well, now it seems things have escalated to the point that the Colombian designer might be leaving his post. WWD reports that CEO Mounir Moufarrige has been meeting with a number of celebrities about participating in marketing and advertising campaigns and that this just isn't flying with Esteban.
Given the economic climate, another designer change at Ungaro doesn't seem to bode well for the brand, no matter what celebrity they sign for a campaign. But as we said before, we love that the young designer is standing up for himself and his vision.
We just can't imagine a company tossing off a talented creative over some celebrity ad campaign. But maybe that's just us.
