Smith's Rosebud Salve - you know it, you love it, it's everywhere.
Mostly because it's perfect, it's easy and it tastes good but also because of its unchanged and recognizable packaging.
So you'd think C.O. Bigelow, the apothecary slash beauty brand that's been around since 1838 and already uses simple and pretty chic packaging would be able to conjure up something a bit more original for their own rose salve.
Sure they've sold it forever, too. But their relatively new red, white and blue tin is what we'd call too close for comfort - maybe they priced it $3 less due to their guilty conscience?
